3rd Annual Media Day
The Third Annual Media Day was held on Saturday, November 16, 2019. MCA partners with Women in Media and SEVA to bring experienced media professionals to Center High School. Building on the success of the past two years, Media Day will have breakout sessions for students of all ages.

Student teams will be given a set of instructions or “prompts” that they must incorporate into a short video not to exceed 5 minutes long. The cast and the crew is challenged to make a short film on a given subject matter and/or other specific criteria.
The task is to write a script, direct the actors, shoot the film, edit, sound and music, and deliver the film in 6 hours. The boundaries will be within the walkable areas in and around Center High School.
Northern California Media Educators (NCME) is an organization of
broadcast journalism, video production, and animation high school teachers in the Greater Sacramento region.
We are an independent group designed to serve the needs of teachers and our students.
