PARTNERS

SECC’s mission is to provide quality educational resources to learners of all ages in the greater Sacramento community primarily through video and other information and communication technologies via cable systems and networks. SECC is a collaborative effort of the K-20 education community all working together toward this mission.

The Alliance for Women in Media is an organization for women, by women. We are committed to supporting women across all media segments, to expand networks, educate and celebrate accomplishments.

Through recognition events and professional development, our purpose is to bring talented, dedicated, established and up-and-coming women in media together. Our members benefit from shared ideas and experiences, and receive access to professional training and the acknowledgement they deserve.

Our mission: The Alliance for Women in Media connects, recognizes, and inspires women across the media industry.

Northern California Media Educators (NCME) is an organization of

broadcast journalism, video production, and animation high school teachers in the Greater Sacramento region.

We are an independent group designed to serve the needs of teachers and our students.

The purpose of the Northern California Media Educators is to recognize and encourage outstanding student work and maintain a network of teachers to share and develop curricular strategies and projects.

SECC is committed to continuing the development and implementation of media programs for all Sacramento students. Media programs enhance academic achievement while students learn to work collaboratively in teams and engage in projects that motivate them and connect them with their school.

With the implementation of the Common Core State Standards (CCSS), Sacramento students are even more empowered to incorporate media into their daily academic lives. SECC works to put equipment and training in the hands of teachers and students to help facilitate these wonderful opportunities. Educational videos produced in these programs are shared with the community via the educational cable channels and the Student Educational Video Awards (SEVA).
